PAPUA - Ainod Village in Aifat District is now glowing with newfound brightness thanks to an impactful initiative by the 501 Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA. The program, “Papua Terang (Bright Papua), ” brought solar-powered lighting to the village’s homes and public areas on Friday, October 25, 2024, transforming once-dark roads and spaces and ensuring safer, more vibrant village life.
The lighting project, led by Lieutenant Colonel Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, underscores the TNI’s dedication to meeting the basic needs of local communities while prioritizing security. Understanding that safe, well-lit public spaces are essential, especially in remote areas, the Task Forces worked with village leaders and community members to determine the most beneficial spots for solar lamp installations.
